‘Angamardana’ means to gain complete mastery over the limbs, organs and body parts. This practice revitalizes the body on all levels including the muscles, circulatory system, skeletal structure, nervous system, and the basic energy system.

Designed by Sadhguru, Angamardana needs no fitness equipment. It involves only the body, and floor exercises that can be practiced anywhere – even during travel.

Regular practice of Angamardana revitalizes the body in many ways:
• Strengthens the spine, skeletal system and muscular system
• Builds physical strength, fitness, and tenacity
• Takes years off the body, bringing a sense of lightness and freedom
• Prepares the body for Hatha Yoga

Some years ago, an unexpected physical injury while working out in the gym impacted Sanam’s life such that she started to question the extent to which modern lifestyle was conducive to her wellbeing. She was determined to find a way in which she’d achieve balance and harmony within herself, while also enhancing her wellbeing while living as a completely involved member of society.

Her quest for this took her to Classical Hatha Yoga and she discovered through her practice of these processes the possibility of having not only physical wellbeing but complete wellbeing in terms of physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

Over a period of 21 weeks, Sanam went through 1750+ hours of training under the unique and intense training designed by Sadhguru. The course gave her exposure to yogic practices, as well as a basic understanding of human physiology and anatomy and Siddha Medicine (a system of traditional medicine originating in ancient Tamil Nadu in South India).

She has a special interest in corporates having spent a significant time working in different organizations. She feels strongly that the widespread issues that one sees impacting the health in the corporate environment can be easily solved with Classical Hatha Yoga practices which can be taught and practiced over a short period of time – even in an office environment – yielding lifelong benefits.
