|| ABOUT THE ARTISTES
~ Manasa Joshi ~
Manasa was introduced to kathak at a very young age, an unexpected introduction eventually turned into eternal love. With over 19 years of experience in Kathak dance, Manasa Joshi is a name that has garnered a niche among the artists. In her journey as a Kathak dancer, in addition to nurturing the art through her dance Academy, Manasa has represented the art form at various National and International platforms. Manasa wishes to deepen her understanding of art and continue this joyous journey.
She is an A grade artist of Doordashan(An Indian television channel). She has been conferred by the prestigious “Puttaraj Gavaye Youth Award” and “Aryabhatta Award”. Manasa has performed at Raj Bhavan in the presence of the Governor,performed for the paramilitary forces and the Police. She was invited to Delhi to perform at the 60th year celebration of Rwanda High Commission. She choreographed Queen’s Birthday Party 2019 for the British High Commission,Bengaluru.She was invited to AKKA( Kannada sangha in USA) in 2010 and 2016 to perform and choreograph. She has performed for most the prestigious dance festivals in India.
She was nurtured under the popular Kathak duo Smt Nirupama and Shri T.D Rajendra, and furthered her training with guru Dr. Maya Rao. She has had the privilege to attend workshops under Pandit Birju Maharaj, Smt Durga Arya, Smt Vidha Lal and Vaishali Trivedi. She is currently under the able guidance of Smt Rani Khanam
