Martiya is an Oriental and Gypsy Dance company based in Bangalore.
We welcome you to join the ride into “The Wild Unknown”. This will be our second in house production, the first one was called Abyad – Kale. Previously we explored telling existing stories through Movement and dance, this year we let the Movement and Dance lead us to create stories.
“The Wild Unknown” is now a collection of stories that arose from making characters out of emotions we feel when we dance. We are very excited to showcase the work of graduates from our very first batch of Do it yourself – Choreography Kit course. Sourima Das (founding member, choreographer)will be presenting her Kathak fusion pieces “Frozen Soul” & “Concordance”. The show is choreographed & curated by Kavya Viswanathan, (founder, artistic director). She will be presenting her new solo “Elements”.
