The Tumkur Toolkit is a three day workshop for theatre practitioners, focussed around the application of core musical ideas to the rhythmic and narrative aspects of performance. Stage fundamentals such as neutrality, transformation and time-sense are brought under scrutiny in the same way that musicians and instrumentalists study technique, form and technical proficiency.

Arjun Chandran is a musician, a mathematician and a creative genius. His work involves not only in the mastery of musical instruments but also in observing methods and operations which artists can use to develop their skill, expression and projection. He has behind him 20 years of experience in music, theatre, composition, correction and conversations.

The workshop’s warm up and movement sessions will be lead by the incredible Nihal Pasha on all three days.

Shoonya will open it’s beautiful large studio for this workshop on Dec 11th, 12th and 13th from 9am to 5pm.
