The concert is a tribute to all the songs that have helped shape Lights Off Production‘s play, Padagu. Some of the songs are original compositions that have evolved beautifully during their improvisations while others are hugely inspired by folk songs. The concert premiered at the Fête de la Musique organized by Alliance Française de Bangalore in June 2017. This is their fifth show.

|| The Trunk and the Nose ||

The Trunk and The Nose is a play about three storytellers – Kachra, Keechad, and Parappa, who meet in a storm and travel to see the whole world together. They see a world filled with stories and the world that comes alive when they tell their stories. Making the story more intriguing are Lily and Musk. Come find out who they are. The play premiered on April 22, 2017, at The Atelier Experiences. This is the third showing of the play.

At Lights Off Production, they believe in stories. They believe stories connect people and enrich our lives. In their work, they engage with diverse people to address complex questions through their stories, and share them through their plays and films.

Their plays have been staged across venues including Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Alliance Francaise Bangalore, Indianostrum Theatre (Pondicherry) and Spaces (Chennai). We performed ‘Lights Out!’, an adaptation of the play by Manjula Padmanabhan at Kala Ghoda Festival and ‘Closer’, an adaptation of Patrick Marber‘s play at Deccan Herald Theatre Festival.

Their short film ‘Little Less Something’ was screened at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy as part of their Gender Studies program and at Queer Film Festival in Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai. Their feature film ‘Joint Trip’ was screened in the Film Bazaar at IFFI, Goa.
