The Spirit Drum is an external embodiment of our lives.
It expresses our joy and sadness and is an implement of prayer;
as such it tells the story of our relationship to the divine.
This workshop is for anyone interested in learning an ancient craft of making a very special personal tool for expression and connection, with their own hands, that will last their entire lifetime. It would also be of interest to musicians, artists and makers of all kinds.
This may be an opening for a Healing Drum Circle.
As we begin to understand the drum and its presence as a spiritual and prayer tool.

About the teacher:
John-Luke is a master drum-maker and it is truly a privilege that we get to help share his work with people in Bangalore. All drums will be made of ethically sourced deer skin and cedar wood frames. You will be making and dyeing the drums yourself under the expert guidance of John-Luke. This will truly be your drum, an ally in your journey onward with sound.
