On the evening of 2 Feb, Tritha Sinha & Martin Dubois lead us on a journey exploring our inner gardens. Transition smoothly from a week of work to a weekend of calm, listening deeply in a sonic exploration spanning several continents, art forms and instrumentations. You’ll listen to the gentle strums of the Kora – the mesmerising eleven stringed West African guitar, the Thumb Piano, Tibetan Meditation Bowls and the Hang Drum, laid over and around flowing and soaring Hindustaani alaaps and Mongolian di-phonics.
This is a concert of a different sort, where you lie down and receive a healing music as it makes its way to and through your senses, your body, your mind and your spirit. Gently and delicately, this un-performance evokes wonder, nostalgia for a time before words existed in our memories and the possibility of listening to the stimuli of the world with openness and compassionate curiosity.
