India is an agrarian society, they say. Since 1995, there have been over 40000 documented farmer suicides in India.

Filled with appalling facts about Indian agriculture, “Nero’s Guests” is a story about countless livelihoods and lives. It’s a story about rural India. A story about farming. Directed by Deepa Bhatia, the film is narrated by P. Sainath, writer, journalist and founder editor of the People’s Archive of Rural India.

Join us on 17th August for an evening spent understanding the story of the Indian farmer. We will be exploring this through film and discussion.
