Sometimes in life, it’s hard to choose.

Sometimes in life, you have to choose – Between waking up and hitting the snooze. Between tradition, culture and a modern way to live is to love the answer for the three actors: Raghu Dayear, Ajay Sharma, Vishal Spatil. The whole Indian culture runs on 50/50. So it depends. We are talking in general. They don‘t want to argue. They want to get lucky. Love is the answer – love to themselves and love to their family. But what’s in their heads, is not in the heads of the three young men. It‘s a man‘s world, but it would be nothing without a woman or a girl. What is the answer?

Abhinaya Taranga in collaboration with Goethe hosted German Theatre Director Verena Regensburger for a project to explore the spectrum of different communication strategies with the students of the Abhinaya Taranga. After the first few weeks of intensive talks focusing on the different cultural contexts the outcome was – ‘My Name Is I Love You’ – An insight to the obstacles three young men have to deal in their pursuit of love in the context of the Indian society.

Directed by – Verena Regensburger
