Where did you learn to love? What is the threshold for you to quit – or transform – a relationship? Has love kept pace with technology? How often do you make space for self-love?

In a comeback performance, the cast and crew of Two Sanskari Girls bring to you an evening of stories and poetry to confront common misconceptions of our dating patterns, sit witness to the resilience of our many relationships, and explore the politics of our love.

About artists:

Kate Black-Regan is a performance artist, singer, poet, and counselor currently based in Philadelphia, US. At the root of Kate’s art and healing work is a deep trust in the power of transformative growth through creative process. Her art explores the potential to reclaim, re-story, and re-envision roles and narratives with a dynamic and intersectional feminist lens. She collaborates with a wide range of artists locally and internationally, facilitates creative spaces and expressive arts workshops, and composes works for the stage. She holds a BA from Rutgers University (New Brunswick) and is a recent graduate of Foundation of Creative and Expressive Arts Therapies (Bangalore). Kate’s mission is to connect individuals and communities with their own strength.

Nupur Saraswat aka The Sanskari Girl is a theatrical poet from India/ Singapore who uses her words to speak with abandon and rally for causes close to her heart. She has collaborated with artists like Javed Akhtar and Sofia Ashraf, and taken her shows to 16 cities in 7 countries in Asia and Europe. Her short term goal is to bring intersectionality and radical kindness in her work.
